Topic 1: Developing relations in school
The following snapshots offer insights into students’ relationships with family and friends, inside and outside the school. The cultural make-up of the school environment can have considerable influence on how comfortable students feel at school. Excerpts from Moreland City College’s “Culture Club” video illustrate that many students from Arabic-speaking backgrounds feel very comfortable at school, which contrasts sharply with comments from a student with an Australian background.
