Theme 5: Cultural & Ethnic Tensions
Culturally diverse settings can at times be sensitive, or even volatile. This theme invites teachers to reflect upon some of the complex challenges arising from the need to foster inclusion within these settings. This may be especially challenging in the classroom environment when complex international conflicts are reduced in the media to particular ethnic or religious stereotypes.
